Hi! I'm Yugo Takanashi. I'm currently studying automorphic forms and related harmonic analysis. I also love listening to various kinds of music.

Research Interests

  • Langlands correspondence, particularly the classification of automorphic representations.
  • Harmonic analysis following the work of Harish-Chandra, Arthur, Kottwitz, and Waldspurger.
  • Various trace formulas and their applications.

I also like to discuss mathematical puzzles, something combinatorial (such as Coxeter groups, root systems etc.) or undergraduate-level math problems with my friends!

Other Interests

  • Listening to music such as classical music (e.g. Bach, Mahler, Ravel, Stravinsky), jazz music (e.g. Harbie Hancock, Art Blakey, Bud Shank, Nat King Cole), EDM (listening to UK garage recently, e.g. Higgo, Sammy Virji), J-pop (e.g. tofubeats, sakanaction, Tatsuro Yamashita, Noriyuki Makihara, B'z) and K-pop music (NewJeans).
  • Mountain hiking (not so serious).
  • Reading and piling up unread books.
  • Eating anything edible like Kirby.
